Rainbow Hair Extensions
Glitter Hair Extensions
Soft Frizz
Feather Hair Extensions
OK so I've been seeing a big surge in wild hair trends lately, so I wanted to do a post on them and get everyone's thoughts. There are things that I like about these trends, and some things that I don't. So let's get down to it:
1. Rainbow Hair Extensions - I want to hate these, but I don't. I think it's such a fun way to spice up your look without damaging your real hair. Since they are extensions, they can be removed if they're not for you. However, I could see how the colorful hair may not be appropriate for certain workplaces. I work in cosmetics, but at a corporate office. So for me, it would be a toss up if I could get away with this or not! I did have a few bright red hair extensions last year in honor of the AIDS Walk in NYC. I really liked the pop of color and they weren't too crazy for work. So to make this trend wearable, chose one color extension and have to attached underneath your hair so you can only see it at certain angles.
2. Glitter Hair Extensions - Unlike the rainbow, I can't help but feel like the glitter ones look cheap. Don't get me wrong - for a night out at a bar or club I think they could look cute. But having them for an extended period of time seems a little much too me.
3. Soft Frizz - Is this for real? I have the hardest time keeping my frizz under control in the summer, why would I want to MAKE more frizz? Sorry, I don't think this looks pretty or high fashion in anyway. Looks like you just had a rough night at the bar and rolled out of bed...
4. Feather Extensions - I've been seeing these EVERYWHERE lately. After the celebrity craze of feathers, it hit the masses pretty quick. I think they look good on certain people - I saw someone have a cute blonde bob and had a few pink feathers on the bottom - I thought it looked cute without being too overdone. I do think that they have to be used in moderation though or you just look like a peacock.
What do you guys think? Would you or have you worn any of these?
