untitled

I've been working on this collage piece for about a year now and I finally sat down and finished it last night. It felt great! I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it makes me happy when I look at it. I was originally making it for a friend, but unfortunately that friend is now an ex-friend. Shit happens, right? Now that it's actually finished, I don't want to give it away! Maybe i'll frame it and hang it in my apartment. Just wanted to share with you guys, hope you're having a great day!

Pure Color Sensuous Rouge - 3 Shades!

Last week, I shared with you my “wish list” for the fall season. WELL, needless to say I caved and had to get something right? I got not one, but three shades of the Estee Lauder Pure Color Sensuous Rouge lipstick (what a long name huh?) Below are a few photos of each, I tried my best to capture what each shade actually looked like on camera. The shades I got are – Rose Exposed, Fig & Plum Fatale. I really went outside the box with these – I wanted colors that I don’t already have and give my fall makeup a new spin.

The first impression I had was – the shades look extremely dark in the tube, but on lips they are gorgeous and nicely pigmented. They seem to be pretty long wearing which is a must for me. The idea behind these, is there is a moisturizing core in the middle and the lipstick wrapped around it. Check out them out, let me know what you guys think!

From left: Rose Exposed, Plum Fatale & Fig

Rose Exposed

Without flash - I really like this color. A bit of red & pink

With flash - a nice fall color with rosy cheeks

Fig

I never usually do browns, but wanted to switch it up. Rawrrr

Has a little sheen to it

Plum Fatale

No flash. It's so vampy!

No flash

With flash - has a slight sparkle to it but in a classy way

With flash. I used to be afraid of wearing plum but I love this!

Thoughts after using each:

The Rose Exposed is the safest of the 3 - just a bit different from what lipstick I usually wear.

Fig isn't my favorite, but I wanted to try a brownish shade. Not sure how that will go - to be continued.

Plum Fatale - I was so pleasantly surprised by this shade! As you can see, it looks so dark in the tube - almost black. But on lips, it is just so fun and different. I can totally see myself wearing it out to dinner - with very minimal eye makeup to avoid looking like a psycho.

What do you guys think?

Celebrity Barbie Dolls

Hi dolls! So I wanted to do a fun/mindless post today, hope you enjoy. Some of them are old, some are new, but I picked the most interesting ones (in my opinion, at least!) As a little girl I was obsessed with Barbies - I still have boxes and boxes of them in the attic. Which one is your favorite?

Lucille Ball
I think the expression is dead on! So hilarious

Um, these are supposed to be baby barbies dressed up as

Danny and Sandy from Grease. Beyond creepy...

Lady Gaga
I think I want every single one of these.
Look how cute the little shoe is!

Elvis
I have one of these, and as a kid I forbid my friends to take him out of his box
He has a little microphone stand and all!

Farrah Fawcett
Wow this one is pretty good!
They nailed her hair, and of course the iconic red bathing suit

I Dream of Jeanie
The outfit is so cute
She even has the mini winged liner!

Britney Spears
Um, if this one is real is so creepy
I know there is a ton of Brit barbies, but this one...caught my attention

Barbie inspired by Frank Sinatra
OK, so technically this isn't a celebrity, but I thought it was adorable!
I want this whole outfit for myself haha

Motley Crue
OK, so I HAD to include my boys!

Lindsay Lohan
Remember when Lindsay used to look like this?
Me either.

Beyonce
Wow, this one is pretty damn close huh?

Cyndi Lauper
oh.my.god.
This looks like a streetwalker, not a music icon
Failure

Angelina Jolie
The face looks pretty close in my opinion!
I wish they put her in something a bit more glamorous than that outfit though

Joan Jett
I love this one! So so cute

Heidi Klum
Not sure how much it actually looks like her, but how cute is that outfit?!
The shoes are adorable too

Katy Perry
Hmmm this one looks pretty angry huh?

Barbie Foosball Table
Again, not a celebrity but I seriously want this for my apartment hahaha

Enjoy the weekend! Everyone be safe if you're on the East Coast! <3

Kat Graham Looking Amazing!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I adore Kat Graham and think she makes such fun fashion and makeup choices. Loooove!

Nude and Simple Eye Using Charlotte Ronson's Drea Palette

Very simple, nude eye of the day using Charlotte Ronson's new Drea palette

Just a touch of liquid eyeliner and two coats of Diorshow mascara

I used the two nude shades - very matte and long lasting.
No creasing after wearing it all day yesterday and again today

I used the lighter shade on the lid, and used the darker nude shade in the crease
My lashes look awesome here and i'm pretty happy about it haha!

So simple, yet so polished and pretty!

The other eyeshadow palettes and the rest of Ronson's beauty line has launched in Sephora, if you want to see the other products you can go to Sephora's website!

You guys like it? =)

Dior Stick-On Eyeliner?

Has anyone else read about stick-on eyeliner, or used it? I'm very intrigued, yet can't help but be skeptical. I just envision people who don't know how to apply them walking around with them peeling off - much like false lashes that lift - the horror of it all!

Allure describes the Dior stick-on appliques as "dramatic, exaggerated and reusable. Each Velvet Eye Kit ($55) contains four pairs of winged shapes and lash glue (once in place, hold them for ten seconds to avoid peeling). Two sets create graphic black lines (like in the photo above) the other two are studded with Vegas-show-girly crystals; all stay put for hours and look like liner, only bolder. Our tester love the ease of the application and their smearlessness but said they were too over the top for day"

It is a bit pricey, but you do get 4 pairs of stick-on eyeliners in a package and are able to reuse them. I'm sure many other lower-end brands will come up with their own solution to this trend, but I'm not sure if I see it sticking (see what I did there?) I would like to try them though - I think they could look very dramatic and cool for a photoshoot or a night out. The only concerns I have are if they start peeling off, and how "real" they look. All in all, very interesting Dior.

Stay tuned for updates on this one! Would you guys try these?

Another Addition to the Harajuku Perfume Family

How cute! Another addiction to the Harajuku fragrance family has arrived - Super G!

Very cute, I think unique perfume bottles and this one is just that! The fragrance is described as "energetic, bright and fruity"

Adorable!

Charlotte Ronson Beauty Arrives!

The box the eyeshadow comes in. So pretty I don't want to throw it out!

Front of the palette. Also love this!

Yay! The shadow quad. The mirror is HUGE which I adore

Shades are all matte finish, except for the silver shade

The Drea palette

It has arrived! Charlotte Ronson fans have been patiently (OK maybe not so patiently) waiting for the arrival of Ronson's beauty line launching in Sephora! I got my hands on one of the eyeshadow palettes (there are 3 other palettes with different color combinations) and I think it's beautiful!

Just wanted to share it with you guys quickly...I will try to do an eye look this week using the shades.

What do you guys think?
